Farewell  Held at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University; Devanshi Arya and Ravi Sharma Crowned Miss and Mister Farewell

Bareilly: The Department of Education at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University organised a vibrant farewell ceremony for M.Ed. second-year students. The event was hosted by the M.Ed. first-year students and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and research scholars.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and floral tribute before Goddess Saraswati by Head of Department Prof. Santosh Arora along with Prof. Sudhir Kumar Verma, Dr. Prempal Singh, Dr. Kirti Prajapati, Dr. Pratibha Sagar, Dr. Rashmi Ranjan, Dr. Rambabu, Dr. Vimal Kumar, Dr. Jyoti Pandey, and Dr. Suresh Kumar.

The cultural segment commenced with a Saraswati Vandana dance performance by student Manya Dixit. Students including Pallavi Singh, Ruchi, Suhani, Deepti Singh, Dhruv Malhotra, and Bhupendra Singh welcomed faculty members, research scholars, and senior students.

A special highlight of the farewell was the “Miss and Mister Farewell” competition organised for the outgoing M.Ed. students. Participants showcased their talent and confidence through various rounds and performances.

At the conclusion of the competition, Ravi Sharma was declared Mister Farewell 2026, while Devanshi Arya won the title of Miss Farewell 2026. Utpal Dhawan and Nikita Gangwar were announced as runners-up.

The event also featured several colourful cultural performances, including solo dances, singing performances, and group presentations by students such as Shivani, Samarjeet, Seema, Neha Sagar, Rashmi, Poonam, Prempal, Manya, Savita, Mamta, and Roshni, which received warm appreciation from the audience.

Addressing the students, Prof. Santosh Arora encouraged the outgoing batch to strive not only for professional success but also to become responsible citizens capable of bringing positive change to society. She emphasized that true success lies in humility, dedication, honesty, and continuous self-improvement.

She advised students to focus on developing their abilities rather than merely chasing success and encouraged them to move forward in life with confidence and sincerity while bringing pride to the department and university.

The programme was jointly conducted by Pranav Pathak and Nidhi Pal. Faculty members appreciated the efforts of the M.Ed. first-year students for successfully organising and managing the entire event.
